"Chromatic Aberration" is an experience that merges various mediums—Physical Reality (PR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Augmented Reality (AR)—to explore my personal confusion about reality. Through this work, I question reality, particularly in terms of how technological development invades and manipulates it. I define reality as the "now," perceived by the five senses, and highlight how the limited boundaries of our perception can be altered through technological manipulation.
On the 30th of April 2024, as a class, we took a trip to Obervieland, Bremen. During this investigation trip, I observed nature, which made me question how we manipulate it. Manipulation was my main concern, and I then transformed the question into how we manipulate reality.
Our relationship with technology is a major concern for me. In my installation, I narrate the story of the Chrome Invasion in the Weser River, which takes the audience on an aesthetic, dreamy, and interactive journey. I brought back some objects from my dreamy world in the VR installation into physical reality by using augmented reality, completing the reality triangle.
